Bucktown is a neighborhood east of the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, directly north of Wicker Park. Bucktown gets its name from the large number of goats raised in the neighborhood during the 19th central when it was part of the famed Polish downtown. It's boundaries are Fullerton Avenue to the north, Western Avenue to the west, Bloomingdale or North Avenue to the south and the Kennedy Expressway to the east. Bucktown is mostly residential with a mix of older single family homes, new construction with edgy architecture and converted industrial loft spaces. Bucktown has a significant shopping district on Damen Avenue and the neighborhood is easily accessible via the Blue Line.
