Elmhurst Ranked One Of The Best Small Cities In The Country

Elmhurst was recently recognized as one of the top small cities in the country according to Wallathub. Wallathub ranked 1268 cities with populations between 25,000-100,000. 33 key indicators of livability were used to assess the cities on everything from housing costs to quality of schools to restaurants per capita. The cities were then grouped by percentiles based on their ranking in 5 categories; affordability, economic health, education and health, quality of life, and safety. 99% is the best score a city can receive and represents the top 1% of cities in the study. Elmhurst was the 7th highest ranking Illinois city, landing in the 95 percentile with a total score of 64.85. Elmhurst received its best marks for safety, ranking 80 nationally, and economic health where it placed 124th.
