Northbrook Ranked One Of The Best Small Cities In The Country

Northbrook was recently recognized as one of the top small cities in the country according to Wallathub. Wallathub ranked 1268 cities with populations between 25,000-100,000. 33 key indicators of livability were used to assess the cities on everything from housing costs to quality of schools to restaurants per capita. The cities were then grouped by percentiles based on their ranking in 5 categories; affordability, economic health, education and health, quality of life, and safety. 99% represents the top 1% of cities in the study and is the top score a city can receive. Northbrook was the 3rd highest ranking Illinois cities in the study, landing in the 96 percentile with a total score of 65.42. Northbrook received its best marks for safety, ranking 58 nationally, and economic health, where it placed 72nd.
