Cape cods seem romantic. Something about a quaint village nestled on the shores of the Atlantic, with the taste of salt in the air, the sounds of thunder from the water, the steamy chowder (the white kind) at the small cafe with crisp crackers and hot cider. Ahhhh.... Here you have none of that other than maybe the style of the house itself. But a can of soup, wave sounds from your phone and a good imagination and you're right where you need to be. Who needs salt in the air (corrosion will eat your car in a week anyway) when you've got a house that looks like this. Start with the classy cod like exterior. The roof is (or will be) brand new, so you're good there for a long, long time. The exterior is maintenance free (and with no roof to worry about, you'll have time to worry about hang nails and who unfriended you on Facebook), and is accented by fully non-functional white vinyl shutters, for a classic touch. Big, big backyard that has some privacy with well placed mature landscaping along the side lot lines (well done). There is a winter beating two car garage off the rear alley along with a big driveway that makes car storage as simple as slipping into a cozy pair of fluffy slippers. Drift in the front door and the room of living you'll find is large and bright as a 12 year old college graduate. Room for the entire fishing boat crew to chill out and mend nets in this big space. The kitchen was created just for you. Cabinets custom made in a factory someplace, one at a time by small elflike workers using nothing but hand tools and the sweat of generations of craftsmen coming out in green streams from their little pores. At least that's what this guy told us as he was leaving the big box store. Anyway, it's a nice kitchen with weathered laminate flooring, room for a big table and room for 297 cans of chowder in the ample cabinet space. This cod (you can call it that, tell your friend's to come on over to my "cod" for dinner - sounds exotic) also features four (yes, we said 4) bedrooms that can support a family of 12 with only 4 individuals per room (that's 38 square feet per person on average - incredible). And TWO full baths, so if the big family splits up between baths, the maximum line would only be 5 deep (and you're used to that in this age of COVID). Down below all this feature rich upstairs area is a big, clean basement that has ceramic tile in some areas and beautiful gray concrete in others. Could you finish this space into something stunning? Of course. With no maintenance outside, what else do you have to do? Now, with a "cod" this nice, you know it won't be here long. So pull on a pair of your best rubber boots, one of those floppy yellow all-weather hats and head on over to check this out. Those that wait will end up with cold chowder and stale crackers. A shame.
